Cards to sell

• Had such a struggle with the maths of getting cards to fit with a border... 
• It didn't really work with the automobiles so I needed to improvise and crop border off...
• Also really struggled with getting the right sized envelopes. Had to custom make the ones for the fish and the a5 card ones are a bit too big.
• They look really lovely all wrapped up and in their cello.
• I also messed up the InDesign folder so didn't have my signature so I hand wrote stickers.

First time I had really used type in photoshop... learnt how to do this now!

Had to create 3mm bleed onto the business cards but not in InDesign which was tricky.

Badmash merchendise

Started designing some possible t-shirts (these images are the final designs in repspone to feedback) which I could sell both as Badmash merchandise as well as for personal use like Etsy and Depop.

This is in response to the art work I released for the soundcloud cover and I am going to turn into tickets for our next gig.

The visual identity of our band is based around paper cuts of specifically facial features.

So when the next student loan cam in I actually sent off to have one of the designs made... I decided there would be too many losses if I was to screen print them. I didn't like how big the image was on the first mock up they sent me so had to describe how I wanted it changed

I have learn that quantity makes things cheaper so I had to balance out how many I thought I would sell. So I ended up ordering 20 t-shirts which cost me £6 each so I decided to sell them for £10 and need to sell 10 to break even... I have promoted them on facebook and instagram. I have also had to figure out how much it would cost to post both in England and Austria!

I also had to decide the quantity of sizes... i asked a few people what they would buy and decided to order 5 small and large and 10 medium. I have made a stock list so I knew how many of each size I had left and the large and small have gone and hardly any medium so perhaps I messed that up and no-one in "average" size??

I created these images by sitting down and looking at the lyrics to the songs and creating on image for each set of releases. I wanted them to be a collection and I wanted the band motif of spiral eyes to run throughout. I think they are a fun and quirky because of the colours, collage and simplicity. 

'Bitter'... using the typical imagery of a lemon but simplifying down key features and using eyes to almost make it look like the face of a clock

'Jaded' to do with the restrictions of time and how it can go fast and slow

'Pathetic Fallacy' to do with a break up with a line "it rained the day we met"

'Signature' This is our signature face. The floating drowning eyes are symbolic of being overwhelmed. Really simple and impacting

I wanted to keep the same aesthetic of collage and with the same colours, collating all of the different images into one design. From this we created our type face (through the paper-cut letters) which we can reuse and change the colours of in the future. It does look very hand made but DIY can be alluring and it was a good place to start as a first poster.

I learnt that when you print purple out, it doesn't really look like it does on screen. This meant that there were a few posters of varying hues of purple but that didnt matter because the posters wouldnt be next to eachother.

Because we set up the gig we were able to make tickets for the gig which will be a nice thing for the crowd to take home. These were nice to knock up because I already had the art work we just hadn't used it for anything
