I got asked by a close one to create a logo for a Audio Engineer podcast website that he is setting up. I struggle with simplicity, its always been a challenge for me so I thought this could be a good thing to create. We also had a lot of fun thinking up the name (I love a good play on words)

 He sent me a few ideas

I sent a few roughs back (also just realising now that I cant spell)

Then he said that he wanted it very simple not so colourful  (the colour of his webpage -white and teal) and gave me this image as a "mood board"

I hit Illustrator straight away (which I am almost coming to grips with) and create a few designs. I also found the same font as his type on his website to keep everything neat and tidy. I also gave him inverted options of the same image so that he could try out what he thinks would look best in context.

 

I thought that this one was too cliche and looked a bit shit

 

I personally like this one a lot, possible because I am a very analogue person

 

I think this one works the best for what his website is about and is very strikingly simple
