Studio Task 1 - Self Portrait
- I think that the direction my illustration may go into is somewhere in the cross over between music and art. I need to explore and discover these kind of possibilities in the creative industry.
- I am predominantly working in mixed media; collage, continuous line, textured materials but I should explore processes like printing and digitisation more thoroughly so I can develop the breadth of my practice.
- Contextual research is a key element to my design process but I should research both visually and verbally to benefit my practice; specifically discover new Illustrators (need to find new ways of doing this)
It took me a while to crack on with this as I was over thinking it so I ended up leaving it last minute and forcing myself to not be stopped by a huge brick wall... it wasn't so bad haha

3. Started to experiment with how to visualise music... the cross over/link between music and illustration is something I have always wanted to explore
4. The conversation that my art has between analogue and digital. When is it appropriate to use each one? Can they be combined? What are the benefits of Analogue or Digital? Development of my digital skills.
5. The importance of research before beginning a brief. Thoroughly researching around and understanding topics are very important for me before beginning visuals - makes images more thoughtful and subtle.
